Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go reassured the Filipino public that the Duterte Administration will guide the country’s next leaders to ensure a seamless transition of power.
Executive departments have been heeding the President’s directions, according to the senator, to guarantee that everything is in order during the transition.
On May 10, Duterte signed Administrative Order No. 47 which establishes a Presidential Transition Committee to monitor the transfer of power to the next government and ensure that public services are delivered without interruption. The committee will be chaired by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.
Go then believes that, despite the fact that elections can be divisive, healing would eventually occur and the Filipino people will once again come together.
The senator stated that the country needs unity now more than ever, particularly in light of the pandemic and other crises
