If a thief wins, we will be robbed for six years. If we elect a pretender, we will be duped for six years. If we vote an incompetent candidate, we will continue to sink for six years

LAYLO SURVEY: “MASA VOTES” GIVE LACSON, SOTTO 57% RATING

Junk ‘survey mentality’ in polls, Lacson urges voters

The latest Laylo survey showed that independent presidential candidate Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and his Vice Presidential bet Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III have up to 57 percent in Class E or the “masa” class.

The survey also showed that Lacson and Sotto got 45 percent in urban areas and 42 percent in rural areas; 43 percent among both male and female voters; 43 percent among those aged 18-34, 42 percent among those aged 35-54, and 45 percent among those aged 55 and up.

Inspired by the survey results, Lacson on Thursday urged all Filipino voters to junk the “survey mentality” in voting and instead pick candidates whom they think are most competent and qualified to lead the nation.

He made this call after noting that the biggest waste of votes is not in voting for someone who is competent and qualified but is lagging in surveys, but in picking a “winnable” but less qualified candidate.Read More

Presidential aspirant Senator Panfilo Lacson said money was the reason why Alvarez and his party Partido Reporma abandoned him to shift support to rival Vice President Leni Robredo in the presidential race in the May 9 election.

“If pre-election surveys was his primary reason for switching his support, I don’t believe it because like me, Mayor Isko and Sen. Pacquiao, his newly chosen candidate is also lagging far behind the survey leader,” Lacson said.

“Time to call a spade a spade. It was actually more about the issue of campaign expenses for their local candidates. His chief of staff was asking for 800 million pesos in additional funding which I honestly told him I cannot produce,” Lacson said in a statemnt on Friday, March 25.
