Somebody sent a link on my social media account regarding the demolition incident that happens at Magatos, Asuncion. The supposedly poor household was not registered as a resident of Asuncion, some say they are from the City of Tagum and neighboring Sto. Tomas. if it is true, then they belong toprofessional squatter as defined in RA 7279 (m) that sa… See More
Analysis Paralysis. WHAT IS SO URGENT ABOUT SARA RUNNING FOR 2022 ONLY RUNS FOR PEOPLE PLAYING FAVORITES OUTSIDE OF THE PROPOSED CANDIDATE HERSELF.
I say if you really are for Sara, you would respect her decision and not throw her to the lions at the time when is uncomfortable to fight a fight that will not be yours but her own.
I could not understand why you are pitting her for presidency when she is unprepared – SHE IS YET AN UNKNOWN QUANTITY.
What is her stand on the South China Seas, on the Chinese, the Americans now the Australians, and Asean? How will she cure the moribund state of our agricultural economy that her father has turned over to the traders?
How does she propose to turnaround our commercial and industrial economy? Post-pandemic when we need close to create 7 million jobs. I can go on and on and the only reason why the yellows and the oligarchs have taken over the Run-Sara-Run is because she favors opening ABS-CBN – the only stand I know about her on national issues.
This piece is a reprint of a comment by Ado Paglinawan to a story by Roger M. Balanza published in The Durian Post and posted on Facebook
For the meantime all the four opposition candidates have positioned themselves, especially in Mindanao in anticipation of her running for the presidency armed with American and oligarchic gold to make sure the Dutertes are routed out in Mindanao that they consider their bailiwick.
THE ONLY TIME I FINALLY CONCLUDED SHE IS MY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN 2028 IS WHEN SHE REFUSED THIS ALMOST FANATICAL DRAFT TO RUN IN 2022. Kilala nya ang sarili nya.
Meron syang diskarteng presidential at meron syang tibay ng kalooban to stand against populist emotionalism.
In fact she is made of even sturdier stuff than her father – she is half German afterall!
Aba do you know what it takes to say no to accolade of almost thunderous clamor, especially among women voters.
Her ultimate show of humility is that she knows Bongbong Marcos will best the country starting next year.

Serafin Ledesma JrAdo, i suggest you just stick to your own agenda. With the way you appraise Davao City Mayor Inday Sara, it is so obvious that you know very little of her. The reason why BongBong and even Imee developed a bond of friendship, Imee in particular, is on account of their mutual respect of their political stand, knowledge of geopolitical matters and dedication to public service.Leave Balanza and the rest to their own …as you say “analysis”. This is a free country. Cool it man.
Balanza Montano Rogelio Sr.Ado Paglinawan Nice piece Ado. Your convulted assessment of Mayor Inday Sara, her politics and the 2022 presidential election; and yur dislike for Inday Sara to become the next President spiced up by your disregard of the voices of the millions of Filipinos who support that direction for Inday Sara, confirms what I had long ago confirmed: Ado is a reincarnation of the much-hated late president Ferdinand Marcos, sent down to earth by Satan, to help the son become president to be able to subject the nation into more suffering as in the days of the cruel dictator. What a shame!
For the third time, the political tandem of incumbents’ Asuncion Mayor Yuri Dayaday and Vice Mayor Jing Camello filed their certificate of candidacy before the COMELEC, yesterday, October 5, 2021, with their political slogans “ITULOY ANG PAGBABAGO.”
My analytic opinion and academic interpretation of their actions, “re-election bid”, is more than its political nature but in the dynamism of the true government service for the people of Asuncion towards equal distributions of development between the poor and less fortunate and the business sectors.
The Dayaday-Camello tandem is not building political stronghold in Asuncion but they are redefining the actual interpretative meaning of BUILDING A LEGACY.
Allow me to discuss.
They are seeking new mandate so that they could continue there five (5) major line-up projects until year 2025, and the perhaps reason why they filed on Oct. 5, and to wit:LOCAL SHELTER PROJECTS.
Almost 7,000 informal settlers, doubled-up households, family belongs to ,poverty level threshold in Asuncion will be benefited in the next three years as planning experts from MPDO and Housing Office is now finalizing the plan for submission to the Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development and its attached financial agencies for counter parting the financial requirements of the projects.
DISENTING PABAHAYASUNCION SANITARY LANDFILL.
Preparing Asuncion progressive economic development in industry, market, agri-venture, tourism, and other economic driven institutions that may result to upsurge garbage collections. The reason why budget for sanitary landfill development was already laid and construction will start in 2022 upon approval of all necessary national permits
. HAMUGAWAY UG LIMPYO NGA KINAIYAHANCONTINUING ROAD CONSTRUCTIONS.
The peasant farmers in the agricultural sector as Asuncion No.1 economic driver will be benefited in the unending farm to market road development and rehabilitation. Agri-products will now reach and available to the market with less handling and transport costs.
HAPSAY NGA DALAN PARA SA AGRIKULTURASUPPORT FOR THE FARMERS.
The strong working relation of the Municipal Government of Asuncion and the Philippines Crop Insurance Services will continue to provide financial benefits to the farmers whose farmlands were stricken by natural calamities.
AMOMA SA MAG-UUMA.UPGRADED HEALTH FACILITIES AND DISASTER RESILIENCY.

First of 2 parts THE Philippine Star* last week ran a front-page story headlined “ICC sees crimes against humanity in Philippines drug war.” Its lead read: “The International Criminal Court has found ‘reasonable basis’ to believe that crimes against humanity were committed in President Duterte’s war on drugs, which has reportedly killed over 20,000 people since 2016.” The next day, Duterte’s critics were ecstatic over the report, with the Philippine Daily Inquirer banner story screaming: “Drug War Critics on ICC Report: Reckoning Near.”
They are “journalism” of the most despicable kind: They spread false, fake news. (The Star article even used the “20,000” figure, which has been proven to be totally without basis, with the government’s figure of about 6,000 fatalities accepted by most.)READ MORE
About two months ago, I saw a new Facebook page started by a young and idealistic farmer from Zambales calling on me to vie for a seat in the Senate in 2022.
Today, that page has reached 30,000 members and it would be totally insensitive for me not to acknowledge this movement and thank young farmer Gabriel Hebron Francisco for believing in my capabilities as a farmer leader and agriculture advocate
I don’t know Gabriel Hebron Francisco personally and I have not even exchanged messages with him but I checked his page and validated that he is a real young farmer
Maliwanag po ang aking posisyon sa isyu ng RTL: Let us import a volume enough to fill the shortfall and to establish a buffer stock and reject the idea of “unimpeded rice importstion.”
Bagama’t kapiranggot ang budget (P176-M budget ng MinDA kumpara sa P70-B ng DA), marami pa rin kaming nagagawa..I am writing this post to acknowledge the movement started by Gabriel Hebron Francisco. This does not mean, however, that I am convinced.
There are realities in politics that we have to consider, one of which would be the logistics needed for a nationwide campaign which I obviously don’t have.
Ang aking position as Chairman of MinDA is a fixed 6-year term which ends August 2025.Besides, there is a big part of me that prefers the peace, serenity, quiet and comfort of my farm
In the meantime, I will continue with my work as MinDA Chairman.
.Isa lang ang lagi kong nasa isip: God’s greatest glory is man fully alive!
A Department of Education (DepEd) official on Monday clarified that the 166 brand new units of Mitsubishi Strada trucks distributed to field engineers were procured before the pandemic after a group took a swipe at the agency over its alleged “injudicious” fund use.”When we were about… Read More
SECRETARY Leonor Briones of the Department of Education (DepEd) should be ashamed of herself. Buying 254 units of Mitsubishi pickups with a price tag of P1.4-million each is not only anomalous but patently scandalous given the fiscal problems that the government is facing today.
I do not know where the priorities of Secretary Briones are but buying that many vehicles against the backdrop of teachers struggling to climb to rooftops of school buildings to get internet signals and soliciting money to buy coupon bonds and to print modules for distant learning is simply immoral. Is it that it was only last year that they purchased 88 units of pickups, too?
PUBLIC HEALTH LENS by Romulo F. Nieva Jr., RN, MHSS
SPMC and the heartbeat of Mindanao
THE news headlines labeling Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) as “Davao City hospital” are obviously misleading and have underlying malice. Such morbid typecasting is a blatant insult to the good governance and competent workforce of the hospital that have transformed SPMC into an advanced and well- equipped public health care institution (HCI) in the country. Just to fact check, SPMC is not a Davao city hospital. It’s a Department of Health (DOH)- retained regional hospital located in Davao city. So, this hospital is not the same as Ospital ng Maynila nor Ospital ng Makati, which are both city government- managed HCIs.
People who have raised doubts about the amount of PhilHealth funds received by SPMC are misinformed. PhilHealth Circular 34 s-2013, policy on the provision of special privileges to those affected by a fortuitous event, noted that interim reimbursement mechanism (IRM) was set up as a quick response to the calamity through substantial financial support, and in order to provide continuous health care services from the affected HCIs brought about by the disasters. Specifically, the IRM amount is based on the facility’s average reimbursement per day (ARPD). And the number of days covered shall be 90 days from the date of event onset. For instance, Hospital A was affected by an event that happened on January 12, 2020. Its ARPD for 2019 was P100,000. Hence, PhilHealth would provide funding for Hospital A an amount of P9 million (P100,000 x 90 days) for the covered period in 2020. READ MORE
