ERMIN GARCIA: Is Bongbong Marcos snubbing presidential debates because he is afraid to be compared to others?

QUO VADIS, BONGBONG?

The series of forums being staged by various media and civic groups are intended to give voters a chance to know the candidates better up close under public scrutiny, to make candidates accountable for their respective visions, thoughts and plans at the same time, under the same circumstances.

So why is Bongbong excluding himself again?? This time from KBP forum? Does he think he’s above the rest and not worthy of his time? Or is he afraid to be compared to others? Or is the campaign strategy for him is to listen to the questions first then ask a friendly interviewer to ask the same on a later arranged date for his prepared and studied responses?? That’s a cop-out.

Bongbong Marcos won’t attend forum for presidential bets

Or is his campaign team simply would not dare risk to lose critical support from among his fanatic fans if his performance and ability to be confronted with difficult questions do not meet his supporters’ high expectations of him??

Whatever his or his campaign team’s reasons, it’s becoming obvious he fears being made accountable and confronted in a forum attended by all others. It’s definitely not like what his namesake, eloquent father – FM – was known to be: Taking on all quarters, anywhere, anytime and whoever! He dares enter any and all lions’ dens. That was the Marcos trait.

Bakit puro iwas pusoy?

I’m sure many of his own supporters, many of whom are on my page must also be wondering why this is happening. Some will surely offer lame excuses for him but even they are surely hard put in justifying this second absence.

Sayang. He’s missing the chance to make his supporters even prouder of him.

Note: From the UK National Gallery-

The Latin phrase Quo Vadis (Where are you going?) denotes an episode from the life of Saint Peter, as told in the New Testament Apocrypha and the ‘Golden Legend’. Peter fled from Rome during the persecution of Christians under the emperor Nero; as he was travelling along the Appian Way he met Christ in a vision.

CREATION OF COMMITTEE AGAINST SQUATTING SYNDICATES AND PROFESSIONAL SQUATTERS: The Case of Barangay Magatos, Asuncion

By Ronald B. Jayectin

ADO PAGLINAWAN: Bongbong Marcos, not Sara Duterte, should be President in 2022

Sara an unknown quantity

Analysis Paralysis. WHAT IS SO URGENT ABOUT SARA RUNNING FOR 2022 ONLY RUNS FOR PEOPLE PLAYING FAVORITES OUTSIDE OF THE PROPOSED CANDIDATE HERSELF.

I say if you really are for Sara, you would respect her decision and not throw her to the lions at the time when is uncomfortable to fight a fight that will not be yours but her own.

I could not understand why you are pitting her for presidency when she is unprepared – SHE IS YET AN UNKNOWN QUANTITY.

What is her stand on the South China Seas, on the Chinese, the Americans now the Australians, and Asean? How will she cure the moribund state of our agricultural economy that her father has turned over to the traders?

How does she propose to turnaround our commercial and industrial economy? Post-pandemic when we need close to create 7 million jobs. I can go on and on and the only reason why the yellows and the oligarchs have taken over the Run-Sara-Run is because she favors opening ABS-CBN – the only stand I know about her on national issues.

This piece is a reprint of a comment by Ado Paglinawan to a story by Roger M. Balanza published in The Durian Post and posted on Facebook

For the meantime all the four opposition candidates have positioned themselves, especially in Mindanao in anticipation of her running for the presidency armed with American and oligarchic gold to make sure the Dutertes are routed out in Mindanao that they consider their bailiwick.

THE ONLY TIME I FINALLY CONCLUDED SHE IS MY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN 2028 IS WHEN SHE REFUSED THIS ALMOST FANATICAL DRAFT TO RUN IN 2022. Kilala nya ang sarili nya.

Meron syang diskarteng presidential at meron syang tibay ng kalooban to stand against populist emotionalism.

In fact she is made of even sturdier stuff than her father – she is half German afterall!

Aba do you know what it takes to say no to accolade of almost thunderous clamor, especially among women voters.

Not Sara.

Her ultimate show of humility is that she knows Bongbong Marcos will best the country starting next year.

Serafin Ledesma JrAdo, i suggest you just stick to your own agenda. With the way you appraise Davao City Mayor Inday Sara, it is so obvious that you know very little of her. The reason why BongBong and even Imee developed a bond of friendship, Imee in particular, is on account of their mutual respect of their political stand, knowledge of geopolitical matters and dedication to public service.Leave Balanza and the rest to their own …as you say “analysis”. This is a free country. Cool it man.

Balanza Montano Rogelio Sr.Ado Paglinawan Nice piece Ado. Your convulted assessment of Mayor Inday Sara, her politics and the 2022 presidential election; and yur dislike for Inday Sara to become the next President spiced up by your disregard of the voices of the millions of Filipinos who support that direction for Inday Sara, confirms what I had long ago confirmed: Ado is a reincarnation of the much-hated late president Ferdinand Marcos, sent down to earth by Satan, to help the son become president to be able to subject the nation into more suffering as in the days of the cruel dictator. What a shame!

DAVAO DEL NORTE: ANALYTICAL OPINION ON THE RE-ELECTION BID OF DAYADAY-CAMELLO TEAM

Redefining the meaning of BUILDING A LEGACY

By Ronald B. Jayectin

For the third time, the political tandem of incumbents’ Asuncion Mayor Yuri Dayaday and Vice Mayor Jing Camello filed their certificate of candidacy before the COMELEC, yesterday, October 5, 2021, with their political slogans “ITULOY ANG PAGBABAGO.”

My analytic opinion and academic interpretation of their actions, “re-election bid”, is more than its political nature but in the dynamism of the true government service for the people of Asuncion towards equal distributions of development between the poor and less fortunate and the business sectors.

The Dayaday-Camello tandem is not building political stronghold in Asuncion but they are redefining the actual interpretative meaning of BUILDING A LEGACY.

Allow me to discuss.

They are seeking new mandate so that they could continue there five (5) major line-up projects until year 2025, and the perhaps reason why they filed on Oct. 5, and to wit:LOCAL SHELTER PROJECTS.

Almost 7,000 informal settlers, doubled-up households, family belongs to ,poverty level threshold in Asuncion will be benefited in the next three years as planning experts from MPDO and Housing Office is now finalizing the plan for submission to the Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development and its attached financial agencies for counter parting the financial requirements of the projects.

DISENTING PABAHAYASUNCION SANITARY LANDFILL.

Preparing Asuncion progressive economic development in industry, market, agri-venture, tourism, and other economic driven institutions that may result to upsurge garbage collections. The reason why budget for sanitary landfill development was already laid and construction will start in 2022 upon approval of all necessary national permits

. HAMUGAWAY UG LIMPYO NGA KINAIYAHANCONTINUING ROAD CONSTRUCTIONS.

The peasant farmers in the agricultural sector as Asuncion No.1 economic driver will be benefited in the unending farm to market road development and rehabilitation. Agri-products will now reach and available to the market with less handling and transport costs.

HAPSAY NGA DALAN PARA SA AGRIKULTURASUPPORT FOR THE FARMERS.

The strong working relation of the Municipal Government of Asuncion and the Philippines Crop Insurance Services will continue to provide financial benefits to the farmers whose farmlands were stricken by natural calamities.

AMOMA SA MAG-UUMA.UPGRADED HEALTH FACILITIES AND DISASTER RESILIENCY.

The Dayaday administration will continue to seek ways and initiative to upgrade the medical facilities of the Municipal Heath Office to address the needed medical services of its constituents including availability of Doctor and other health related experts The administration will also upgrade and capacitate the human development thru advance training adherence to disaster management. FAKE NEWS: Inquirer, PhilStar, Rappler reports on ICC ruling vs. Duterte

NO ICC RULING

By RIGOBERTO D. TIGLAO, The Manila Times

First of 2 parts
THE Philippine Star* last week ran a front-page story headlined “ICC sees crimes against humanity in Philippines drug war.” Its lead read: “The International Criminal Court has found ‘reasonable basis’ to believe that crimes against humanity were committed in President Duterte’s war on drugs, which has reportedly killed over 20,000 people since 2016.” The next day, Duterte’s critics were ecstatic over the report, with the Philippine Daily Inquirer banner story screaming: “Drug War Critics on ICC Report: Reckoning Near.”

ICC finds ‘basis to believe’ crimes vs humanity committed in Duterte’s drug war

These are outright lies.

They are “journalism” of the most despicable kind: They spread false, fake news. (The Star article even used the “20,000” figure, which has been proven to be totally without basis, with the government’s figure of about 6,000 fatalities accepted by most.) READ MORE
