President Rodrigo Roa Duterte may endorse or support a presidential candidate whose name contains the letter “O”, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, acting presidential spokesperson, said on Wednesday.
But pre-poll durvey front runner former senator Bongbong Marcos, son of the late dictator president Ferdinand Marcos Sr. with three Os in his name, may only have a premature orgasm if he jubilates at Andanar’s shocker on the choice of Duterte, who has been shy about who to endorse in the May 9 election.
Andanar was joking.
All presidential candidates contain the letter “O” in their names.
There are currently 10 candidates running for the position of president– former presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella, labor leader Leody de Guzman, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, former national security adviser Norberto Gonzales, Senator Ping Lacson, Lanao del Sur businessman Faisal Mangomdato, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Dr. Jose Montemayor Jr., Senator Manny Pacquiao, and Vice President Leni Robredo.Read More
ANDANAR: President not endorsing any presidential candidate
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is not endorsing any presidential candidate, Malacañang reiterated Tuesday.
Acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar made this remark after Duterte, in a recent event in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, told the Ilocano crowd to choose the Ilocano leader they favor.
Citing Duterte, Andanar said the President will not support any presidential candidate but may change his mind if there is a “compelling reason” to do so.
“The President has repeatedly said that he does not support any presidential candidate unless there is a compelling reason at kung maalala niyo po dun sa interview na ginawa natin (and if you remember in our interview) with the President, he clearly said he may or may not,” he said in a Palace press briefing.
Andanar, who is also Secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), said it is best to wait for the President to make a final decision on whether or not he would endorse any presidential candidate. Read More
