MALAYBALAY City –A call is now echoing loud to conserve and protect Mt. Kalatungan, Mindanao’s water head source here.
Vice Governor Jose Maria R. Zubiri Jr. is appealing to Bukidnon residents to act as watchdog to shield Mt. Kalatungan, a critical watershed area, from developmental aggression and other violation of environmental laws.
The Mt. Kalatungan Range Natural Park has been declared a protected area under Presidential Proclamation No. 305 of May 5, 2000.
It is managed by Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) and the municipalities of Maramag, Pangantucan, Talakag and the City of Valencia.
Mt. Kalatungan is a habitat for the indigenous Manobo, Higa-onon, Talaandig, Bukidnon and home to the famous Philippine Eagle (Pithecopaga Jeffey). It has an area of 30,889 hectares.

MALAYBALAY City – The continuing drive on tax awareness is a key factor for exceeding our tax collection target goal for the month of June this year. We are thankful to Bukidnon taxpayers for religiously paying their obligations, thus said revenue district officer Myrna L. Bernardo after collection breached the target last month by P7,905,722.20 against its goal of P58,050.000.00 with an actual collection of P65,955,722.
In the monthly comparative report, P55,574,599.80 was collected in prior year or an 18.68%.
