Elisa Evangelista-Lapina, 2nd Cavalry Company (Separate) Armor Division Phil Army, 7th Air Reserve Center, Tactical Operations Wing Eastern Mindanao, Tactical Operations Group 11, and 89th IB Makatao Battalion headed by Battalion Commander LTC Donald Gaffud led a groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday, June 19, 2021 for the construction of Talos Elementary School Playground at Sitio Talos, Barangay San Jose, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte.

Mayor Evangelista and the Municipal Administrator Atty. Elisa Evangelista-Lapina thanked Kiwanis International and all the partner agencies for the support in all the projects being undertaken by the Evangelista administration especially for the Ata-Manobo community in Sitio Talos, Barangay San Jose, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte.

Ms. Lorna Lui-Go, RN of Philippine South District Division 7 of Kiwanis International, with Kwn. Jennie Gaum and Kwn. Mary Joy Redulosa also donated assorted fruits, face masks, alcohols, and other hygiene kits and mounted a community pantry intended for the Ata-Manobo community led by Datu Doming Tumaytay, the tribal chieftain and the Indigenous People’s Mandatory Representative (IPMR).
