Transport strike in Davao City on March 31

Public transport drivers and operators would stage a paralyzing strike on March 31, said the militant transport group Transmission-Piston during a press conference today in Davao City. Edil Gonzaga, secretary-general of Transmission-Piston, aims to prod government action on skyrocketing oil prices.  Transmission Piston in an earlier statement blamed the oil deregulation law as the primary reason why oil companies remained unchecked. “We still strongly believe that the main reason of the incessant oil price hike was due to the continuous implementation of oil deregulation law.
