Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte leads ‘Brigada Eskwela’ regional kick-off

DAVAO CITY First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte backed educators to raise learners’ competency levels to promote innovation and positively aid the nation’s post-pandemic recovery.

“With education and a strong drive to improve our way of life, I believe we can change the world,” said Rep. Duterte in a speech read by his son Rodrigo Duterte II during the kick-off of the Brigada Eskwela on Thursday, August 4, at Apolinario Mabini Elementary School in Bangkal in Davao City.

Rep. Duterte commended DepEd-Davao regional director Allan Farnazo and the entire education leadership for spearheading the 2022 school year through this event to encourage everyone to rally behind everyone’s effort to provide the best education for students.

The First District congressman also lauded President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte who repeatedly emphasized the importance of making the learners ready for the outside world. “With more than two years into this pandemic, we cannot afford to once again hold back and let COVID-19 get the best of us. Thank you. I hope I was able to inspire everyone. May God bless us all,” Rep. Duterte said.

Davao lawmakers to attend the 1st SONA of P-BBM

Davao City’s First Congressional District Representative Paolo Z. The three lawmakers are also set to attend the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. in the afternoon.

According to Rep. Duterte, he is throwing his full support to the President. “I have given my vote to him and announced it publicly during the kickoff of my campaign. I am sure that he will do good things for the country and the people,” said Duterte. Vice President Sara Duterte was also seen during the first session day of Congress following the photos sent by the First Congressional District Office. Sara is expected to attend the SONA.

PULONG DUTERTE pushes for rehabilitation of Agus-Pulangi power plants

A lawmaker on Friday said the rehabilitation of the Agus-Pulangi hydropower complex (APHPC) should be a top priority of the Marcos administration to ensure a clean and reliable energy source in Mindanao while fighting climate change.

Davao City First District Representative Paolo Duterte said the rehabilitation project would initiate the transition process to low-emission energy sources and will contribute to the country’s commitment toward climate change adaptation and mitigation.

“If we want to be a global leader in climate action, we can start with rehabilitating the Agus-Pulangi power plants in Mindanao. This long-term measure will eventually reduce Mindanao’s reliance on coal, and accelerate our shift to clean energy sources,” Rep. Duterte said in a statement. READ MORE

PULONG DUTERTE gets Covid-19

Davao City 1st Dist. Rep. Paolo Z. Duterte confirms that he has been afflicted with Covid-19 based on the RT-PCR result released today, September 27.

The congressman is now in isolation at a hospital while his family are also under quarantine at their residence.

Rep. Duterte is not manifesting any severe symptoms.

He expresses his thanks to everyone who showed their concern to him and his family. Rest assured that he will comply with the quarantine and will continue to serve the people of Davao even in isolation.
