Davao City security cluster ready for Kadayawan 2022

The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) said security measures for the month-long Kadayawan Festival are “all set.”

DCPO Spokesperson Major Maria Teresita Gaspan, during the Madayaw Davao program aired over the Davao City Disaster Radio on Wednesday, said they will be deploying thousands of security personnel to cover all Kadayawan activities from August 5 to 21.

From the PNP alone, a total of 2,700 security personnel will be deployed. Almost 9,000 more will be coming from the other members of the safety and security cluster. READ MORE


Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, joined by the 11 Tribal Deputy Mayors, led the official opening of the Kadayawan Village on August 4 in one of the highlights of the Kadayawn Festival 2022.

The tribal villate is located inside the Magsaysay Park.

City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) Tourism Coordinator Jomark Lanciano said on Wednesday, August 3, that the village that will showcase the culture and tradition of the 11 tribes is almost done. READ MORE
