BDO-LED GROUP OF BANKS SET TO FORECLOSE DENNIS UY ASSETS

A group of bankers led by BDO Unibank Inc., one of the Philippines’ largest banks, has served a notice of foreclosure against Udenna Corporation of Davao City-based businessman Dennis Uy for defaulting on its loan that funded the $6-billion Clark Global City project.

The holding company of Uy, a longtime friend and supporter of former President Rodrigo Duterte, which agreed with a July 22 Inquirer report that it received a notice of declaration of default , said in a July 24, Saturday, report of the Inquirer that it was contesting the notice.
