The number of reported deaths due to Typhoon Agaton has reached 172, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Sunday, April 17.

According to the latest NDRRMC data, at least 583,994 families and 2,419 barangays from Regions 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, Caraga, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao have been affected.
A total 16 individuals were reported injured and a total of 220 missing.
