Three candidates of the Hugpong Ng Pagbabago (HNP) in Davao del Norte will spearhead an investigation into the link of Governor Edwin Jubalib to the multi-million peso investment scam, if they win in the May 9 polls.
Jubahib has made himself a potential star witness in the search for the brains in the scam with his admission he knew the top man behind the racket.
The candidates of the HNP of vice presidential aspirant Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte hot on placing the governor on the chopping block to squell and identify the mastermind are:
Gubernatorial aspirant Provincial Board member Roy Catalan who vowed if he grabs Capitol in the May election to initiate an investigation by the Board. Catalan is contesting the reelection of Jubahib (REPORMA).
Tagum City councilor Bong Aala who is up against former House Speaker and Reporma president Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez in the 2nd District Congress race. Aala said that if he dethrones reelectionist Alvarez, his first task would be to propose a congressional inquiry into the racket.
Rey Uy, a comebacking former Tagum City mayor, has vowed a probe by the City Council if he wins the mayoral race in his one-on-one fight vs. Eva Lorraine Estabillo (REPORMA).
