Kahit magnakaw pa sila ng magnakaw wala silang pananagutan
Presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquiao said Filipinos should not vote to Malacanang thieves who avoid public debates to hide their true character.
“Nakakatakot yang mga ganyang kandidato sa ating republika. Pag na-elect na sila, kahit magnakaw pa sila ng magnakaw wala silang pananagutan dahil ibinoto sila ng tao,” said Pacquiao, one of ten presidential candidate s running in the May 9 polls.
Although he did not name names. Pacquiao was clearly refering to former Senator Bongbong Marcos, who is leading in pre-poll surveys for presidential preference.
Bongbong is the son of thel ate dictator president Ferdinand Marcos, whose martial rule was marked by massive corruption and human rights violations.
Bongbong has skipped major presidential debates including those organized by CNN Philippines, GMA7 and the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkasters ng Pilipinas (KBP).
He is also evading a bebate set today sponsored by the Commission on Elections (Comelec), accordingly due to “conflict in schedule,” the perennial alibi advanced by his camp in explaining his absence in past debates.
According to Pacquiao, who attended all debates he was invited to, presidential aspirants must attend face-to-face debates for voters to know their character as leaders and their program of governance.
