A member of a group of fake radio broadcasters working as propagandist for certain politicians in Davao del Norte and Davao de Oro has publicly admitted the group’s link to a fund handler of Rigen Marleting, the largest investment scammer in Tagum City that fleeced thousands of victims of millions of pesos in lost investment.

Reynan Dumagpi aka Kamario Panyero, a member of the 8-man Otso Inidoro, made the admission in his radio program aired out of a Tagum City-based FM radio station.

The Otso Inidoro members, who are not accredited by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkasters ng Pilipinas (KBP), air politically-oriented programs over several FM radio stations in the Davao Region. For their libelous commentaries, the group has already amassed about a hundred libel and cyberlibel cases still pending in the court.
In commentaries and admission, the group identifies itself as media propagandist of the opposition, working for Davao de Oro Rep. Ruwel Peter Gonzaga (PDP-Reporma), and Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez (Reporma) and Governor Edwin Jubahib. In the coming May 9 election, Reporma is clashing in the two provinces against the Hugpong Ng Pagbabago (HNP) of vice presidential aspirant Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
In his radio program Asintado ni Kamario, Dumagpi said that some members of the group in late 2019 hunted down Rose Garcia, said to be a conduit for Rigen investments, in Tagaytay City to demand return of millions of pesos in investments they solicited for the outfit owned by her son, Rico Garcia.
Rose Garcia was the chief of staff at the congressional office of Davao del Norte First District Rep. Alvarez.
Apparently, the Otso Inidoro brodcasters also moonlighted as coordinators and had lured hundreds of investors to pour their money into the Ponzi scheme.
The Otso Inidoro members made the trip to Tagaytay, where Garcia had holed up, after the investment racket burned out and executives of several other investment outfits like Garcia, fled Tagum to escape investors demanding ‘Payout,’ or return of their money as the investment scammers faulted on the promised 30% to 40% monthly returns on investment.
Rigen and severa lother investment outfits operated freely in the Davao Region with Tagum City as its epicenter, wit h permit to operate issued by Mayor Alan Rellon.
The investment scam became a fullblown scandal with investors crying over their lost investment as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) declared the scheme as illegal and hounded the operators with charges.
