MALACANANG SHOOTS DOWN PARLADE’S REV-GOV

Malacanang was quick to the draw in shooting down the call of retired General Antonio Parlade for the establishment of a revolutionary government.
“The retired general’s call is better left ignored,” acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar said in a brief statement, echoing the directive of Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana to the Armed Forces of the Philippines in wake of Parlade’s push amidst what he says is massive corruption in government .
Malacanang’s response, came after Parlade called to declare a revolutionary government to address corruption issues besetting Comelec and other government agencies.
Parlade, who is running for president in the May 9 elections, is the former spokesman of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.
Parlade’s idea is “part of his guaranteed freedom of speech and expression,” said Andanar, the former head of the Presidential Communications Operations Office . READ MORE
