SANTO TOMAS, Davao del Norte (March 9, 2022)β€”The administration of Mayor Ernesto β€œTatay Erning” Evangelista has bankrolled efforts to produce banana varieties resistant to fusarium wilt, and other development initiatives to further increase the production of quality bananas for both domestic and export markets.

The Municipal Agriculturist Office (MAGRO) has distributed a total of 20, 000 Fusarium Wilt tolerant banana tissue seedlings to 300 banana farmers across the municipality, according to Engr. Elmer Degorio.

Degorio said the program being implemented by the Evangelista administration seeks to ensure the production via tissue culture of quality banana resistant varieties. READ MORE
