The Office of the Ombudsman in Mindanao has no record of any complaint filed against Davao de Oro Provincial Board member Arturo “Chiongkee” Uy, belying reports that an alleged case of corruption and extortion has been filed by overstaying Chinese national Yuehui Li against the former governor.
The report about the Ombudsman case against Uy has been widely propagandized for many months now by a group publicly known as “Otso Inidoro,” which openly claim as the media outfit of Team Gonzaga and RPG Team of Davao de Oro 2nd District Rep. Peter Ruwel Gonzaga.

Uy, who is running for governor against former associate justice of the Court of Appeals Dorothy Gonzaga, wife of Gonzaga, in the May election, has said the claim, now discredited by Ombudsman, is part of black propaganda against him and son Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy.
In the alleged complaint with the Ombudsman, as broadcast by the Otso Inidoro radiomen, Li, who is engaged in a desilting and dredging project in Nabunturan town that recovered gold dusts drained downstream into Naboc River from gold processing plants in the minesites of Davao de Oro, claimed that Uy demanded P1.5 million a month and gold shares from Li’s business.
Gonzaga himself has claimed that such a case has been filed with the Ombudsman by Li, who has been arrested by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) as an illegal alien.
“The public should not believe the claim of congenital liars Gonzaga and his Otso Inidoro paid hacks about the case as the records of the Ombudsman denied that there is such a case filed against Provincial Board member Uy,” said the camp of the former governor in a statement dated March 10.
“The false claim about the Ombudsman case against PB member Uy is but one of the many lies and black propaganda invented by the fertile but dirty imagination and phantasy of Gonzaga, and peddled by his Otso Inidoro paid hacks, to save his corrupt image and destroy Uy and Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy, ” said the statement.
