The Philippine National Police (PNP) is looking into the claims of an assassination plot being hatched against former senator and presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., its chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos said Monday.
In an interview with reporters at the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Carlos said police is gathering more information on the alleged assassination plot, a threat to the personal security of a presidential aspirant.
“We will validate it. Mayroon na pong nakipag-ugnayan (it is now coordinated with us). With regard to this report, we are open because our commitment is to secure everyone, our commitment is for a peaceful election,” he said. Read More
