A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck near Davao Oriental early on Thursday morning, August 12.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported the earthquake struck at 1:46 am offshore of Davao Oriental.
There is no tsunami threat reported from the earthquake.
