GOVERNOR UY: That fake document should be used by Macapili as toilet paper to wipe his ass
A block time radio broadcaster was lying to his teeth when on Wednesday presented a document he claimed to be a report by the Commission on Audit (COA) that allegedly showed anomaly in a P666 million road building project implemented by Davao de Oro Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy.
The alleged document, a piece of paper waved by broadcaster Edward Macapili in the program on Tagum City-based Infinite Radio FM96.1 that was also live-streamed on Facebook, was not a COA report but a xerox copy of a newspaper report published last year by the Manila Bulletin.
That fake document should be used by Macapili as toilet paper to wipe his ass, Uy, as quoted by an aide, reportedly said when told of the claim of Macapili.
Macapili and other broadcasters of Infinite Radio FM96.1, heard in Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte, have established themselves based on their commentaries as severe critic of Uy and his father former governor now Provincial Board member Arturo “Chiongkee” Uy.
Macapili’s lying over the COA report he claimed accused the governor of anomaly, was expected to impact negatively on the credibility of the block time radio broadcaster who claim to be a College Instructor at St. Mary’s College Tagum City, College Economics Instructor at Holy Cross of Davao College inDavao City and Associate Economics Professor at University of Mindanao, Tagum Campus.
The Manila Bulletin story posted on July 8, 2020 on the national daily’s website was entitled “COA finds procurement law violations by prov’l gov’t of Davao de Oro.“
Basically, the story reported on the audit observations in the COA 2019 audit report which has revealed that ” violations of the government procurement law were committed by the provincial government of Davao de Oro when it perfected infrastructure contracts worth P666.84 million without the authority of the provincial legislative council.”
The story did not indicate the COA report as accusing Uy of anomaly but merely recommended that the Davao de Oro government correct certain lapses found by COA.
Instead, the story quoted COA Director Roy Ursal as having “called the attention of the provincial government headed by Gov. Jayvee Tyron Uy to address the audit observations.”
The report added that the “provincial government admitted the error but stressed that “it was overlooked in good faith,” that the local government ” vowed to comply with the audit recommendation.”
Uy has denied any anomaly in the project as claimed by Macapili.
Also in the attack mode versus Uy with the COA reports as subject of their acid commentaries are other broadcasters of Infinite radio namely Roel Sembrano, Ka Mario,; and Jongjong Suyco, Bobby Largo, Bogart Salyot, dodong david, and Emy Horio of Power Radio 94.7 in Davao City.
Governor Uy is seeking reelection in next year’s polls as reports have it that his party mate 2nd District Rep. Peter Ruel Gonzaga is contesting his third and last term.
