The Department of Health (DOH) reported the second straight day of record-breaking COVID-19 detections with 7,999 cases for March 20.

The tally beat previous day’s record of 7,103 cases.

Update: 7,757 cases as of March 21

Alarmed by the figure, DOH urged the public to remain in their homes and skip any non-essential travel and reiterated its previous policy to wear face masks and observe preventive measures such as social distancing “at all times and in all settings.”
