With vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna, the United States is set to start its COVID-19 vaccination program in early December.
First to emerge in China last year, the deadly coronavirus to date has claimed the lives of more than 255,000 Americans, the world’s highest reported toll.
Worldwide, nearly 1.4 million people have died this year and at least 58 million cases have been registered.
The vaccines would be shipped out to the immunization sites within 24 hours of approval of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines by the US Food and Drug Administration, according to reports.
The reports said that an estimated 20 million people across the US would be the first to be vaccinated in December, with 30 million to be targeted per month as the vaccination program goes full blown.
