Most of self-learning modules with errors reported to the “Error Watch” project of the Department of Education (DepEd) were either locally-developed or from unknown sources.
DepEd launched “Error Watch” on October 12 through which the public can report errors on modules for immediate validation and correction.

The DepEd has reported a total of 41 errors which range “from factual errors to grammar or syntax” have been found in the distributed self-learning modules as of October 23.
Of the total errors, about 27 were classified as locally-developed errors; 11 were errors from unknown sources; and only three errors were from the Central Office-quality assured self-learning modules. Meanwhile,
DepEd has ordered the immediate confiscation of self-learning modules which violated social content standard “by giving false perspective on our soldiers role in maintaining peace and wellness in the community”.
