The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) and local government of Lambayong in Sultan Kudarat signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on September 30 for the implementation of socialized housing initiatives under the Community Mortgage Program (CMP) in the municipality. This will allow more than 8,600 families to borrow funds from the agency for land acquisition and site development.

The MoU was signed by SHFC President Atty. Arnolfo Ricardo Cabling and Mayor Ferdinand Agduma in a virtual ceremony facilitated by the Partner Relations Division. This marked the 13th time that SHFC inked an MoU using videoconferencing technology to adapt to the new normal. The ceremony was held in the presence of SHFC General Santos City Manager Juana Leonora Melodias and Vice Mayor Francis Eric Recinto.
Mayor Agduma affirmed his full support for the partnership, reassuring that his administration will assist in the processing and submission of requirements needed by his constituents.
Atty. Cabling, on the other hand, stressed that tackling homelessness will help alleviate poverty and that SHFC has been actively working with local government units to address it. READ MORE
