DANGCAGAN– The torment of thirsty residents of this town would soon be over. The Spanish government has granted a P10M loan to Dangcagan for the construction of a water system.
Dangcagan is among five Bukidnon municipalities granted loans for water systems by the United Nation International Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nation Development Program (UNDP) under the UN Millennium Development Goal Fund (MDGF).
The project is realized through the efforts of local officials under the leadership of Mayor Edilberto F. Ayuban in partnership with National Water Resources Board, National Economic and Development Authority and Department of Interior and Local Government and the Department of Health.
The project to be completed this year will source out potable water from 15 major water sources that would serve 13 barangays. Project implementation is soon to start before year end. MEL N. VELEZ
