Jabidah massacre remembered

Young Muslims commemorate the 43rd year of the Jabidah Massacre last Friday. The Jabidah massacre refers to a grim footnote in 1967 wherein Army forces killed several mutinous Muslim recruits under their supervision. The young Moro fighters were being trained by an over-aggressive government to invade Sabah, a hotly contested territory off the coast of East Malaysia. The commemoration was sponsored by the non-government organizations Suara Bangsamoro and Khadidja Moro Women.
