In this election, this will be our last piece on Eduardo Malay, the head of the public relations outfit Issues and Advocacy Center also called The Center.
We have written several pieces about Malay because he has been involved in local politics, particularly in conducting queer surveys that Dabawenyos widely discredited being outlandish and unbelievable.
We pity Speaker Boy Nograles for having hired this PR man masquerading as an expert on pre-poll surveys. We don’t know if Boy Nogie knew about the standing of Malay in the media community, in the public relations circle and the political scene where he had victimized many clients with his rigged surveys.
He has been peddling the lie that he is still the public relations man of former President Fidel Ramos, which has been denied by FVR’s camp due to his surveys that always fail to hit the mark. We did not know that Durian Post reaches as far as Pangasinan. Politicians there supporting LP presidential bet Sen. Noynoy Aquino sent us a press release, apparently in reaction to our series of articles on Malay’s foolishness in Davao City, confirming that FVR had dropped Malay who was also warned that he no longer trumpet around that he is still the spokesman and media handler of the former president.
The Pangasinan politicians however said they were happy that Malay’s surveys had NP Manny Villar winning, which means that with Malay’s tract record of failure in predicting results of presidential elections, his survey results means the reverse with Noynoy winning.
Here in Davao City, Malay’s survey should also be taken in reverse. If he says Boy Nogie is winning, then Boy Nogie is…….losing!
Does Boy Nogie know that Malay ran the media machinery of former MMDA chair Bayani Fernando, who failed to bag the Lakas-Kampi presidential slot? Fernando could have been duped by Malay that he is going to be president from surveys conducted by his The Center. Poor Bayani crashed even before the party nomination, forcing him to leave the Arroyo party and to dump Malay.
We have been warning the Nograles camp to also drop Malay and his surveys that have Boy Nogie winning while collated surveys and mock polls here show Inday Sara beating him 80 to 20 and Mayor Rody trashing Ben de Guzman with the same score.
Apparently, Boy Nogie has to stick to this joker because they cannot buy a decent pollster to do a survey for them that would have Nogie winning in a rigged survey. Only Malay can do this monkey job. In surveys he conducted here through his phone operators, Boy Nogie had an opponent in the mayoral race named Sara Carpio. Nincompoop.
We have been in touch with Malay through the comments in our blog at https://durianburgdavao.wordpress.com and through text messaging and I could imagine the hurt he suffered reading our columns and news articles about him in the blog and Durian Post.
He had hinted libel, and according to him, he was being pushed by some well-meaning friends to file libel charges against us like Nogie who filed four counts of libel, but he told me he is leaving me alone with my foolishness.
His latest missive through text messaging, in reaction to our articles saying that his press releases about Nogie winning the battle against Sara were becoming the funniest press releases in Davao City, indicates the level of his seriousness in handling Nograles’ campaign.
Wala akong pakialam kung matalo yan si Nograles at manalo yang kandidato mong mga Duterte.
Within the week, the Mindanao Insider Daily, already known as Nograles’ paper, carried two news items from the Center of Malay saying Nograles and de Guzman would clobber Inday Sara and Mayor Rody.
Is the editor of this paper conniving with Malay in duping Boy Nogie that he is going to win this election?
Change We Need. Change We Must. So goes the Team Nograles slogan. Very apt.
The next time around in the next election when Nogie would be making his fourth failed attempt to capture City Hall, Team Nograles may as well adopt this same slogan.
Nogie need to and must change his media handlers like Malay and the Mindanao Insider Daily.
We are supposed to be kind to animals after dealing with Malay but his fame or lack of it also crosses oceans. Ed, please forgive me. We would be unfair to readers sending comments to my blog durianburgdavao if we would not publish this missive for you and your friends and foes from email@example.com:
Ed Malay, in all his 64 years (it was his birthday yesterday, April 22, 1946) has failed to accept the reality that a good education is critical to achieving any professional career. He finished High School at the MA ROXAS HIGH SCHOOL in 1964 and puts in his bio-data Adamson University 1964. It goes to show that he is a mere college drop-out trying to eke out a living pretending to be a professional journalist without any skill other than licking some powerful asses.
He faked my Facebook Account 3 times and left his trail in the URL address of the fake Facebook Accounts using my name and profile pictures, obviously not familiar how the internet protocol works especially with .php formatted webpages where CSS Style Sheets and Master Pages are commonly used and inserted with .php codes which leaves behind the Master Page URLs.
He was even quoted as telling a potential client ” my webpage was hacked by a trojan virus ” In his world of pretentions, trojan viruses now can hack websites like his virus-ridden website http://www.philpolitics.com. I have warned you this is a virus infested website, browse at your own risk.
The pathetic Ed Malay even faked an autograph of Former President Fidel V. Ramos in one of his pictures in his Facebook Account where he forged a note on the picture purportedly written by FVR on the bond paper where he placed the picture and wrote in very small space, avoiding writing on the main picture, contrary to usual autographed pictures where the celebrities write all over the picture to make the authograph autehntic for the fan.
He even has an photo album in Facebook Titled ‘Spiritual Sojourn in HK’, a pathetic attempt to look holy but why not in Lourdes France, or Medjugorje, or the Holy Land? Why of all places seek spirituality in HongKong, a shopping haven?
Obviously, the guy is such a pathetic creature in his last hurrah. Umayos Ka Ed Malay !
